Headteacher Welcome

Welcome to Haywards Farm School!

To be the Headteacher of such a forward-thinking, nurturing therapeutic primary school is a real privilege.

Haywards Farm is an exciting and stimulating learning environment with a mission to ensure that no one is left behind. We  encourage our pupils to develop and strive to be the greatest they can be and equip them with the tools to lead independent lives.

We are all committed to making a real difference to the children in our setting. We aim to give our children the very best start to their educational journey, developing lifelong love of learning, ready for independence and the wonderful next stages of education.

We aim for every child to be excited by their learning, so that they themselves are motivated to be the best that they can be.

Our inspirational, talented and compassionate staff team are committed to every child achieving. Working closely with parents and carers, we make sure that pupils are happy and that they are achieving success in all areas of school life within a nurturing approach and within a supportive network of staff and friendships.

Our focus is that every child, their family and carers will look back and recall their time at Haywards Farm as a time of achievement, purpose, kindness with a sense of personal discovery and stepping stone in making and maintaining friendships and building resilience.

Many of our pupils have had a difficult and challenging start to education, so it is important to ensure that as a school we understand, are flexible and compassionate about every child we work with. I can truly put my hand on my heart and say that we have a happy, warm and nurturing school where our pupils feel happy and safe and utterly engaged in their educational experiences.

I believe that education is a partnership between home, school and relevant professionals and I hope to strengthen links with you as your child moves through our wonderful school.

If you would like to visit the school, we would warmly welcome you to arrange a school visit.
